One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is filming the getting ready moments. This is where the tone for the entire day is set. I make sure the atmosphere stays calm, fun, and stress-free so the couple can be fully present and enjoy the excitement leading up to the ceremony.
Rather than staging every detail, I focus on capturing the natural flow of the morning — the laughter with your wedding party, the quiet moments of reflection, and the small details you’ve spent months planning. My role is to gently guide when needed while letting the magic unfold naturally.
These moments often become some of the most heartfelt parts of a wedding film, because they show the anticipation, joy, and genuine love before the “I do’s.

Where Artistry Meets Storytelling
Sony is a passionate wedding cinematographer with a background in photography, giving him the perfect blend of skills to tell love stories in a timeless and artistic way. After graduating from a top film school in New York City, he found his home in Virginia, where he films weddings across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and beyond. Each year, Sony carefully selects the weddings he takes on—filming over 27 celebrations annually—while keeping quality and personal attention at the heart of his work.
With an artist’s eye and a calm, steady approach, Sony captures weddings in a way that feels both natural and cinematic, elevating every film into something truly meaningful. He believes that weddings hold a special place in life’s story, which is why he personally films every wedding himself—ensuring couples know they are in trusted hands.
His dedication and artistry have earned him multiple awards and consistent five-star reviews across platforms, but what truly sets Sony apart is the experience he creates for his couples: relaxed, genuine, and focused on capturing real moments that will be cherished for generations.
